October 23, 2019 (IANSlife) After creating a niche for herself in the US, Nevada-based singer, actor and designer Christine Storm is all set to establish herself in India. The national recording artiste is going to launch her clothing line and is in talks for collaboration with Indian singers.

Storm launched her collection inspired by golfers, and envisioned attire freeing the players of the boxy, unflattering styles she was witnessing. She is now planning to bring resort wear to India, inspired by her visit to different countries.

 

 

"We started out with clubwears. But this is a very couture inspired and very beautiful. In a busy world out there, sometimes you don't have time to go change your clothes and go out for lunch or dinner. With this line, you just need to change your shoes and from golfing you go straight for an occasion. From golf attire to resort wear, we have our resort collection coming up," Storm told IANSlife in an interview.

Storm says she admires ace designer Neeta Lulla and follows the Indian fashion industry quite closely and calls it "eclectic". However, it's the comfort of the every attire which catches her attention.

 

 

"Indian fashion industry seems very traditional to very contemporary. And you notice that a lot at the airport. I'm a people watcher and so I get a lot of my inspiration from them -- how they wear their clothes and how they move in their clothes or how they mess with their clothes. Some people are constantly pulling on their clothes because they are not comfortable. I see lovely ladies fighting with outfits," she shared.

Storm says her new couture travel wear and luxury active wear is created keeping total comfort in mind. "I wanted to be able to bring not just comfort but travel awareness to our fashion line. She is also exploring eco-friendly textiles and incorporating scrap fabrics with some products in a bid to try to make the world a beautiful place through eco-consciousness.

 

 

Storm, who was on the fourth visit to India, says "you cannot come to India without having it affect every part of your life". "The way you eat, the way you listen to music, the way you design clothes, everything has an Indian influence". She made her debut song "Nobody Came" after she returned home from her first visit to India. It had many Indian instruments and vocal trills in that, including Hindi dialect.

She recently launched a spiritual album, titled "7", with genres and melodies ranging from Pop, Rock, R&B to even a Reggae feel, comprising of seven songs with seven different messages. "I just want to remind people that God is everywhere if you just look around and see you know what the creator has created."

 

 

Storm is planning three more songs for release this year, including a reggae number. She is now trying to get a collaboration with an Indian artiste for something very dance-oriented. She also desires to be featured in a Bollywood movie playing the role as a singer.

 

 

On being asked what would be one thing that she would like to take back with her, she answered: "I think it would be more humility. I found that to be the most amazing aspect of Indian culture. And so I'm working on that ever since I came here the first time.

"I think there's always something to learn and that's why I love everything that I do -- whether it's playing golf or working in the recording studio or acting. No matter what I do, I always look for scope for improvement."

 

But what does she like doing the most? "I think the creative process of all of the things that I do. You know the phrase that my husband taught me if you find something you're passionate about you never work a day in your life'."
