Tao Art Gallery at Worli kick starts its twentieth anniversary celebrations at the end of February 2020

February 21, 2020 (IANSlife) "Tapestry of Time," a group show that will feature artists like Ali Akbar Mehta, Abhay Pandit, Arpana Kaur, Atul Dodiya, Brinda Miller, Dhruvi Acharya, Ganesh Haloi, Ingrid Pritzer, Jagdish Chander, Krishnamachari Bose, Madhvi Parekh, Prajakta Palav, Milburn Cherian, Ravi Mandlik Rameshwar Boota, Shakti Maira,Rini Dhumal, Smriti Dixit will  be on exhibit at the Tao  Art Gallery to kick start its twentieth anniversary celebrations at the end of February 2020.

"A Tapestry of Time" is a celebration of the 20 glorious years of “The Way To Art". In Kalpana Shah, Founder, Tao Art Gallery adds, "Most great journeys have greater difficulties and hurdles behind them, but today we’ve surpassed the test of time, emerging as one of Mumbai’s leading and most vibrant landmarks for Art, Creativity & Culture. Many have woven this intricate tapestry of the experiences of this space: some old, some young, some temporary, and some permanent"

Established in the year 2000 (the premier show was a group show featuring SH Raza, Vijay Shinde, Sujata Bajaj, Anand Nikam), Tao  has evolved  into a well-recognized brand in the  vibrant Mumbai art landscape. In its 19-year history, Tao has curated uniquely conceptualized shows highlighting diverse art forms like painting, photography, sculpture, video, performance as well as installation art in its two exhibition galleries. The Gallery has  been open-minded towards any creative expression and emphasizes the powerful and innovative presentation of artistic ability, building a thought-provoking experience for all its viewers and inviting dialogue on culture, aesthetics and the tradition of visual arts.
